This is a modified version of this contrib: Minor bug fixes to 2.05. I have MYSQL5 on a 1&1 shared server and this is what works for me. I hope you are able to get it to work on your server as well. This includes all files needed for this contrib.

PDF Catalog with different categories v.2.0.2 for MYSQL5

New Version files:
pdf_catalogue_info2.php and admin/pdf_catalogue.php

Sorry for losing two file in catelog.
Now It's a complete package!

Based on the PDF Catalog for osc 2.0.7 include Portuguese Language and update two files.

Fix 'FPDF error: GIF parser: unable to open file XXXX.gif'.

And now can run with PHP 5.


JUST change pdf_gif.php and pdf_fpdf.php.

This little extension makes the PDF Catalog supporting unicode.
It's really easy to install if you have a working PDF Catalog - Installation.

We use the FCKEditor mod.

Within <textarea>, Browsers auto render & display certain "HTML Entities" and "HTML Entity Codes" as characters:
< shows as < -- & shows as & -- etc.

Browsers also auto change any "HTML Entity Codes" entered in a <textarea> into the resultant display characters BEFORE UPLOADING. There's no way to change this, making it difficult to edit html in a <textarea>

So html_entity_decode has been added to the description lookup.

This is not the full package, just replace the single file.

2.06 is not working.
Minor bug fixes to the following files from 2.05:

- /admin/pdf_catalogue.php (changed $this->$parent_category_name to $this->parent_category_name)

- pdf_catalogue_info.php, pdf_download_katalog.php (changed the html tables to draw properly)

This is a complete package including the MySQL 5 Bug Fix.

Hi all...

After hours of debugging, i discover that the final package 2.0.2 with some fixes works great.

I solved some directions, because the script for DIR_FS ... were bad. The images, and catalogues folders are fixed and now it save the PDF and find the image locations for products. I solved some other problems...

If you are using MySQL 5 you will require this very minor change.

This is my final contribution to this one.
What i modified from the last one is the fact that the user now has a choice, he can create one file for all the categories selected or can create one file for each category.
All the congratulations must go to the contributors before me, i just improved it.

Made some changes in the PDF class so that you don't get an error if the product has no image. Be carefull to have an alternative image and that the picture really exists. In the admin side, when you generate the catalog you'll get a list of the products which don't have a picture and the alternative used.

Removed the necesity to edit categories.php. Some english improvments. The user will get a download link for each category, and not one pdf file with all the categories.

Minor bug fixes/enhancements to the following files:

- pdf_catalogue_info.php (Changed file size text from "Go" to "Gb", removed redundant variable TEXT_PDF_DESCRIPTION)

- /admin/pdf_fpdf.php (corrected typo in variable name DIR_S_CATALOG - change to DIR_FS_CATALOG in function _parsejpg)

- /admin/pdf_catalogue.php (removed hardcoded french "Model" text and replaced with variables PDF_TXT_MODEL and added PDF_TXT_CATALOGUE)

- /admin/includes/languages/english/pdf_catalogue.php (added variables PDF_TXT_MODEL and PDF_TXT_CATALOGUE)

This is NOT a complete package - just 4 files

To install just copy the files over the originals

english: Should be used into a Webshop different tax, then this update can take up it automatically to the pdf catalog also. Thanks on sea-shell for tap again.

The current files look to: DIR_WS_IMAGES to populate the pdf with catalog images.
The file (/admin/pdf_catalogue.php) should point to: DIR_WS_CATALOG_IMAGES in order to help those of us running a watermark folder.

Complete package, based on 8 May 2004 - PDF Catalog v.1.51
This package does not include the latter italian, spanish and german translations. Please note that one new language file is needed (see instructions within package).

This version offers a bunch of enhanced configuration options :
- Correct the bug regarding the links to products (Insomniac 21 Aug 2004)
- Add (optional) a products index o the latest pages
- Add an admin page to write the pdf introduction (easily reusable also as an intro in catalog/pdf_catalog_info.pdf
- Add (optional) an introduction on the first page
- Add the support of products without images (by the definition of a no-photo.gif)
- Allow Portrait or Landscape
- Allow to specify the catalog header date format
- Allow to swith on/off the listing of empties categories
- Allow to swith on/off the categories page separator
- Allow to swith on/off the categories tree on the first page
- Allow to swith on/off the products descriptions border
- Add an intermediary step in admin before generating the catalogs

Note: Just wanted to post that there is an error in the file /admin/pdf.catalogue.php

Open in editor. Scroll down to around line 351 and find
$link=HTTP_CATALOG_SERVER.DIR_WS_CATALOG."product_info.php?products_id=".$data_array[10]."&language=".$data_array[11];

Change the HTTP_CATALOG_SERVER.DIR_CATALOG to HTTP_CATALOG_SERVER.DIR_WS_CATALOG

This will fix that when you click on the products image link in the PDF file. It will open the correct product URL.

Note: unreal.zip is not a file. just used to post this message. I wish the forum would fix this small issue.

Da der Code des Vorgänger Scriptes sehr unübersichtlich und undurchschaubar
sowie nicht aus dem Adminmodul zu entfernen war, habe ich mit einigen tricks
gearbeitet um das generieren in den Userbereich zu legen! Es wir ein iFrame
angewendet die für den User nicht sichtbar ist!! Das generieren findet dort statt,
leider treten dort noch aber wie auch schon in der Vorgänger Version Fehler auf,
die allerdings nicht störend sind. Datei: pdf_catalogue.php

Ich hoffe es findet jemand diese Fehler und evt. Eine bessere Lösung für das Script!

HTML Links to your Oscommerce site products for each products on the PDF catalog.

Images resize to reduce the PDF catalogs sizes. (Take a lot CPU time)

Now you can show specials prices, show images or not. Various images size are allowed now if 'Small image width' & 'Small image height' are not used.

PdfCatalogs generate PDF format catalogs of products for various Oscommerce languages. Tis script is designed to display your products with pictures, their full description and prices in a PDF format. Products are sorted by their categories.
