Product QR Codes
for osCommerce Online Merchant v2.2
Product QR Codes is an add-on that displays a box in either the left or right column which contains a QR Code.
I was unable to find a contribution for doing this which is why I wrote this contribution.
It is only visible on product pages, but instructions are provided to display the box on any page that is viewed within your store.
It installs in under 5 minutes and will give your customers yet another way to share your web pages with other people. Only 1 new file and 2 changes to existing files.
What is a QR Code? A QR Code is a two dimensional code that contains a lot more information than a standard bar code. In this case, it is storing the web address of your products and pages. Most new smart phones have apps that can read QR Codes and then offer the user the option to share the QR Code contents via email or SMS.
