Just the updated 2.3.1 instructions edited. On Step 20, the instructions say some people have problems because there's a loose bracket "}" in the file.

The error seems to prevent products from appearing in the front-end on a clean osCommerce 2.3.1 install. Click on a product link on the front page and the system loads a blank white page.

The loose bracket appears to be at the very start of the "replace" code for Step 20, so I've taken it out.

I've left the warning intact, because there could be some other problem contributing to errors.

with all changes made for QTPro 4.6.1 to work with OSC 2.3.2

Changes/corrections:

several broken PHP echo-commands causing HTTP/500 errors,
fixed table view for product attributes with new "track stock"-checkbox,
also using new jQuery-UI buttons as the rest of the admin-area does.

There is an error with a query in the tep_get_products_stock() changes. Misplaced apostrophe.

In includes/functions/general.php in the tep_get_products_stock() function:

$track_stock_query=tep_db_query("select products_options_id, products_options_track_stock from " . TABLE_PRODUCTS_OPTIONS . " where products_options_id in ($options_list) and language_id= '" . (int)$languages_id . "order by products_options_id'");

The single quote starting at language_id= runs all the way to the end. So the order by isn't actually run. Which isn't noticeable as long as your options are already in order, but I ran across at least one site where they weren't and so it thought every combination was out of stock. Sequential dropdowns didn't work, etc.

The correct query for that line should be:

$track_stock_query=tep_db_query("select products_options_id, products_options_track_stock from " . TABLE_PRODUCTS_OPTIONS . " where products_options_id in ($options_list) and language_id= '" . (int)$languages_id . "' order by products_options_id");


This is a full package with the above change to the installation instructions. I've also included the empty category fix by p2409 as well as the Paypal Standard update by ripnu

I have come across a common issue where I was unable to find a fix so went testing like made.

Anyway, the issue is, after implementing the QTPro for osc 2.3 when checking out via cash on delivery, the stock levels / attributes were decremented OK.

However, when using Paypal Standard 1.0 (the standard one with osc 2.3), the stock levels were not being decremented and I was always having to go into osc admin and run the QT doctor to fix the stock levels etc.

This fix changes the includes/modules/payment/paypal_standard.php so the stock levels are updated after you implement the QTpro contribution.

No files attached, just a simple mod to make so your code doesn't break when deleting empty categories:

Edit /admin/includes/general.php
Change the lines:
//++++ QT Pro: Begin Changed code JOC
qtpro_doctor_amputate_all_from_product($product_id);
//++++ QT Pro: End Changed code
}

To:
//++++ QT Pro: Begin Changed code JOC
if ($products_id!=null) qtpro_doctor_amputate_all_from_product($product_id);
//++++ QT Pro: End Changed code
}

This stops the qtpro_doctor_amputate_all_from_product function from being called when there are no products under a category.

This is a full package. It now includes a totally revised and updated manual. It is now clearer and notes where some bugs may be encountered. The code itself is unaltered.

You need this if you sell items with various attributes and you want to control the stock on an attribute level.

The install is quite long - but the end result is really nice. You will find it even easier to install with the revised manual.

The uploaded file and instructions was installed on a almost clean 2.3.1 install (only a handfull other mods installed).
The install is quite long - but end result is really nice.

REMEMBER; You must active attribute tracking here:
admin->catalog->product attributes->
when adding/editing an attribute, you must check the Track Stock? checkbox.
