Contest v1.0 Upgrade
for osCommerce Online Merchant v2.2
Includes various fixes, updates, and new features.
Here is some more features you can add to Contest v1.0
- If a customer is already a member they will be shown a message that they do not need to enter again, as they are automatically entered in the prize draws.
- If a new customer tries to sign up for the draws and has already entered they will be shown a message that they have already registered for the draws.
- Added multiple messages depending on the state of individual fields. For example if fields are left blank or do not meet minimum requirements for length etc .. warning messages are displayed.
- Added invalid domain check in case someone has entered their email address format incorrectly.
- Added non valid domain checking. Email addresses entered are checked against a file modified by you. If they match for example yahoo. or hotmail. etc. a message is displayed warning the person that free email addresses are not allowed. You can change the warning message if you add other domains that are not necessarily free email domains.
- When person enters contest successfully they are redirected to the create account page.
- When already current customers try to register they are not redirected .. they are just shown a message stating that they are already a member and automatically qualify for any prize draws.
- Added option to show a date of birth dropdown box. When enabled the entrant must be a certain age to enter the draw. The age is set by admin.
- If the age option is not enabled anyone of any age will be able to enter the contest.
- In admin contest.php if customer did not tell there location .. the Location section will say Location: None Specified
- Fixed email message link
- Added missing submit button [ just a plain process button ]
