This is a variation of Chemo's Google XML Sitemap Feed contribution, with the addition of some nice extras.
I specifically customized this set for those of you not using his Ultimate SEO contribution, but ARE using the default oscommerce search engine friendly URL's turned on, or a variation of the tep_html_link fuction in the /includes/functions/html_output.php page. The original contribution did not accomodate for these.
This is the full package with the addition of nice admin tools for easy access.
Anyone wanting to still use the default version, simply delete the /googlesitemaps/index.php and replace with the page called index.php.backup
You can alternatively also open the admin-install.htm and admin files to use just the admin tools with his contribution.

If you are getting the following error when creating your sitemaps then please use this sitemaps_index.php file instead.
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare tep_db_connect()
N.B :- You must download the FULL PACKAGE below (i have only solved a problem for people with there sites in sub domains as far as i am aware. )
sitemap_index.php is the only file that is included is this download or you can change the following line in your file that you have already..
Find the following
chdir('../');
change to
//chdir('../');
the sitemaps will go into your website root...
ie... if you have www.mydomain.com/demo as your site then demo is the directory that they will be created.

This file is the Manolia's file 2.2 + a better readme, contains the steps for install and missing instructions.
I installed on my website and works good. No problems
Important Note: to all those people that want to use the Google XML Sitemap + Ultimate SEO, try setting 'true' to Configuration -> My Store -> Use search-engine safe URLs and re testing the sitemap creation in admin. Good luck

Nothing changed, only added the german languagefiles to this great contribution. Screenshot is inside the package
Just added a . '/' in sitemap.class.php so that the files are saved in the right directory
* fix definitions in filenames.php
* add changed files (such as tools.php, filenames.php, english.php...) to the package, so it can be easy installed.
