The admin has many choices for each section(one section shown here):
- Display featured products.
- Layout position of featured products section.
- Featured products maximum.
- Columns in featured products layout.
- Words per short description when it's not written.
- Featured products period.
- Choose a featured products set layout.
- Choose a featured products set style.
- Set the direction of the shadow.
- Set the sort order for the feature products.
- Set the sort order for products by ascending or descending.
- Products vertical line height.
- Products vertical line colour.
- Products horizontal line colour.
The admin can choose whether only one featured set is shown or more.
The admin can choose which positional order the featured sets are shown if more than one.
There are a number of styles and layouts to choose from.

This fixes a bug in Matt's contribution which set the default status of featured items to NO when adding/editing products.
If you had a featured item and edited it, It would automatically default and set it as not featured.
This fixes that. If already featured and you edit, it will stay as featured. If not featured, it will stay not featured.
I too like Matt was annoyed by always having to click on the not featured button all the time when adding new products. haha

This is the full package with a few minor updates.
This is a very minor change to allow the short description text to flow around the image, price, and buy now buttons. It only changes the "Boxed with shadow" style for products, but it does stop very long pages from being created without any need.

I've just modded the code to set the default status of featured items to NO when adding new products.
Kept forgetting to check NO when adding products so most of my products were featured. :(
