I installed this contribution with osCommerce 2.2 Milestone 2 051112 Update and had the problem that bundles were not added to the shopping cart.

The attached includes/classes/shopping_cart.php will fix this problem. The function add_cart has been slightly modified.

Bundle Products with various setting possibilites- and sell MORE!

This package is the package below with a minor bug fix.

Whilst this is a great module and I would like to thank Kai for his efforts its such a shame that he thought it necessary to secretly plug a German website by an affiliate link AND a hidden link (hidden to surfers but not spiders) in the module :(

All I did was remove the 3 instances of this plugging to the German website in the module.

Full package - download this if you dont want to advertise someone elses website on your site without your knowledge.

There is no need to download any of Kai`s modules below.

was just a quote ' in a string therefore a sql statement aborted.

You will get 2 new admin settings. One is to define if you would like to include or to exclude specific categories.


The second one ist an input field where you enter the categories_ids separated by comma. Like 1,2,45,3,4 etc.

The entered Category and the 1st Child is recognized and will be ex- or included.

If you need children from level 2-x then you always have to declare the parent category.

LEAVE the field empty if you do not want to use at all – this tells the system that this function is disabled.

Thanks to Joachim Ott who delivered the German SQL Statement file for the current Version 1.05c that contains everything from the beginning up to now.

Nothing else changed...

There was a minor bug when using category images within the product info page. FIXED

NEW:
Two admin settings for maintaining the system.

One is for setting the regular cleaning mode (on/off) whereby on means all the time active and off means cleaning by scheduler

The next option is to set the system a forced clean - right after e.g. updating or when you have played around and want to drop all the "non-realistic" discount bundles...

- NEW NEW NEW: Products Name Matching Feature BUT BUT BUT Still EXPERIMENTAL !!! Feedback needed

o this enables you to select a similar 2nd Product that fits somehow to the 1st one.
o you decide wheter you want to use the simple or advanced search mode. the advanced has a bit more operational work (but not extensive)
o You set the level of matching density
o also: you can prevent the system selecting a similar product !!! and force you choose another one
o and you define where to take the part of the 1st product search string.

- there were a few problems with the clean-up timer. This is fixed

- Now you can choos wheter you want products with attributes are choosen or not. Important! Even though you are selecting this option as including attributes you won't be able to select them within the bundle. This feature was added because the demand from user was there.

- the file module and func are redesigned from the code point of few. Just made the code more quick now and looks better.

- ITALIAN Language is added including according images (Thanks to Frabrizio (FreemaN)

I recommend to update

Light changes because two things:

1. if you do not use big images, there was a light problem with left queries.

2. I included a simple time schedule to set maintaining jobs. I recognized that some "cleaning" jobs ran together and all the time a customer adds something. That costed waiting time.

now you can select the Priority how the 2nd Product is choosen.

1. no preference

2. everything from same Manufacturer -> if nothing more then everything

3. everything EXCLUDING same Manufacturer

4. Same Manufacturer, same Category -> if nothing more in cat then same Manufacturer from Catalog, if there is no more then everything

5. Excluding same Manufacturer, same Category - if nothing then the catalog - if no more other manufacturers, then include the manufacturer...

This is again a BIG update to the previous.

Update is easy from the previous version.

Install new is also easy (but Readme looks long - isn't -> only because of SQL-Statements)

NOW - this is new: auto generating Bundle-Images including a lot of setting possibilities.

Also works now with products-attributes.

Well, it is worth updating/installing.

Now use the module not only to combine products and sum the prices

BUT use it also as module to combine and make a special offer (including discounted price)

if updating then just copy over the old ones.

I just added the english language files and button image.

Just added: if only one product of one manufacturer in the whole sortiment, then another product from a random manufacturer is taken.

make sure to have more then only one product in your DB :-)
